An independent studio for the science of learning by doing.
XAD Labs is a research and development studio exploring the intersection of simulations, games, and learning. We design experiences that turn training into genuine practice — and study what makes that learning last.

What we research
Where simulation, games, and learning meet
Most training tells people what to do. We are interested in the harder — and far more effective — path: letting them do it. XAD Labs sits at the meeting point of three disciplines, simulation, game design, and learning science, and builds at that intersection.
Our own titles, Race to AGI and CloudArchitect, double as public products and living research — testbeds for how people acquire and retain complex skills. That same thinking carries into the custom simulations we build for organisations training staff on critical procedures, operations, and onboarding.
We keep the studio deliberately lean and evidence-led: prove the idea, measure the outcome, then scale what works.
Leadership
Founded & led by Mohammed Zameer
XAD Labs is founded and led by Mohammed Zameer, who runs the studio alongside a demanding day role. By day he works as a Senior Technical Consultant to a European startup — an engagement delivered through a Sri Lankan–Norwegian software partnership — where he has built deep expertise in product development, software architecture, and scaling systems.
XAD Labs is where he channels that engineering discipline into a longer-standing interest: how people actually learn. It is a founder-led, research-first venture — built in the margins of full-time work, and all the more focused for it.

Research collaboration
Open to working with universities & research institutes
We welcome collaborations with universities and esteemed research institutes on simulation and learning-science research projects — from study design to building the simulation itself. Where the partnering institution can cover the infrastructure costs, we’re glad to bring the studio’s design and engineering to the table.
